Serena Ko

Principal Lawyer

Serena has extensive knowledge and experience in all areas of family law having practised in this area since 2007, gaining valuable experience from first tier law firms before establishing Ko Family Lawyers. Serena is focussed on asset protection and resolving all matters of dispute whether through alternate dispute resolution processes such as mediation, or court litigation. 

Serena’s practice encompasses all property, financial and maintenance issues. She deals regularly with small to high net worth complex property matters involving companies, trusts, taxation, bankruptcy, third party interests, and financial agreements (prenuptial and postnuptial agreements). Serena assists with all parenting issues, including complex parenting disputes. 

Serena’s priorities are taking care of her client’s interests. Serena takes pride in ensuring that each client receives sensible, reliable and strategic advice in a sensitive and efficient manner. Serena’s expectation is that each client becomes empowered to make sense of their legal options and make smart, commercial decisions to prepare themselves up for the next stage of their lives. 

Serena is a member of the Law Council of Australia, Family Law Section of the Law Institute of Victoria, and the Law Institute of Victoria Courts Practice Committee.
